We are located on 11th Ave, just near Memorial Park and the Devonport Rd roundabout. If coming from Cameron Road down 11th Ave, Mad Butcher is on your left, then further down we are on the right on the corner of 11th Ave and Tutchen St, just before the roundabout. If coming from the other direction on 11th Ave towards Cameron Road, go through the roundabout, then we are on the left after Directors Chair and the Fabric Curtain Barn. Park in our big gravel car park - entry from 11th Ave.

Still Taking Enrolments for Term 3!
Term 3 has started, but it's not too late to get a place for your child. Some time slots are full up, but we run wait-lists for popular times, and will endeavor to find a time that suits you.
Year 9/10 or NCEA Level 1 Exams?
Exams can be scary.

Starting this term gives time to complete revision of the year's work as well as start some specific exam-format revision.
The Level 1 NCEA exams are fast approaching - Maths is Monday 15 November, only 5 weeks into Term 4. Don't leave it too late to make a difference.

Tips for Term 3
It is important for your child to finish the year with confidence. This is especially true if your child is in Year 6 or Year 8 - it is vital that they finish this year well, to ensure they get into good classes next year if streamed, and feel confident for the shift up to the next school level regardless.
How has 2010 been for your child so far? Is your child achieving to the levels you would like? We can focus on any areas that have been identified at school for further work - whether extension or catch up. If you have no idea, that's OK too. We can do our own assessment and test your child against expected levels for their age.

I'm Leanne, the owner and manager of NumberWorks'nWords Tauranga.
2010 is my 10th year running NumberWorks'nWords. I started as a manager, and took over as owner in 2004. Before that I was teaching in Wellington, but really loved the change to NumberWorks'nWords because it's such a positive environment – all the students WANT to be here!
Outside of NumberWorks'nWords I really enjoy mountain-biking and snow-boarding and a bit of surfing.
I also enjoy spending time with my young nephews and nieces, the oldest of which has been "dying" to start lessons at NumberWorks'nWords, and has just started in maths as a "big" 5-year-old! I'm not sure we'll be able to hold out 'till 5 with the younger one who lives in Tauranga, as his love of numbers means he feels like he's missing out big time!

NumberWorks'nWords is a great environment, our motto is that it is so much fun that is does not feel like learning. That is true for me too, it is so much fun and also rewarding, watching children develop and grow in confidence, that it does not feel like working.
Away from NumberWorks'nWords, I enjoy spending time with family and we have a wonderful new addition, our first child Isabella. I also spend time playing squash, golf, and have a love of music and play guitar in a two piece band, all of which create a very full and busy life.
