Owners: Stephen and Judith Uttley

We are Stephen & Judith and together we decided to buy a NumberWorks’nWords franchise in 2009. Having visited many of the existing centres, we were highly impressed by the enthusiasm for teaching and the fact that the children had a joy of learning Maths and English, whilst having fun at the same time. It was at this point that we decided to use our many years of teaching, education, training and business experience to set up a franchise of our own in Huddersfield town centre. Our aim at Huddersfield is to use our experience to provide a local source of tuition that helps individual children maximise their abilities in Maths and English, gain confidence and success and have fun while they do it.

As trained teachers and with three children of our own, we understand the challenges that parents and children face. When not teaching, we both love going out to the theatre to see music, drama and comedy productions. We also enjoy walking (especially in the Lake District) and supporting Huddersfield Town FC.
