Hi, I'm Kahu. I have been with NumberWorks'nWords for over 10 years now.   I started as a tutor and loved it so much, when I got the opportunity to become a manager, I jumped and haven't looked back. Robin and I work hard at creating a centre that is fun with a postitve learning environment for all our students.  We are blessed to have wonderful tutors who share our enthusiasm.

In my spare time, my darling husband Darcy and I spend our time wrangling our two children, Freddy and Waiata.  We love the picnics in the park, sandcastles at the beach, snow angels on the mountain and bedtime stories on a cold dark night.

It's wonderful to be involved in education and be able to help students realise the possibilities of what they are able to achieve.

Hi, I'm Robin and I have 4 wonderful kids and 2 adorable grandkids. I have been involved in education since 1977 when I first taught Science, Maths and PE at Seddon High School (now Western Springs College) in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Moving to Te Kuiti so the kids could grow up away from the hurley burley of city life saw me changing fields to Reading and Learning Skills with a little maths on the side.  NumberWorks lured us back to Auckland  in 1996 and we ran the New Lynn Centre for 10 years before moving Shoreside.

NumberWorks'nWords has been a family affair with my four children all involved to a greater or lesser extent. I was able to take off in Term 2 and travel Europe with two friends and know that the learning needs of our students were in Kahu's capable hands.

Our senior students were lucky I could call on Amaria to come in and tutor the NCEA 2 material after a long day on site as she starts out in her career as a civil engineer.
