I am the owner of NumberWorks'nWords Balwyn. That's me in the top right.

I grew up in Scotland, trained and taught there for several years before settling in Australia.

My involvement with NumberWorks'nWords began in 1997 when my sister opened NumberWorks'nWords Ringwood. I left classroom teaching in 2000 to open NumberWorks'nWords Balwyn.

To relax I enjoy gardening, walking, reading and travelling. My favourite travel destination is Scotland where I catch up with family, friends and meet new younger members of my family.

I am a Primary trained teacher and have taught in NZ, Australia and the UK. I enjoy working with students of all levels and am passionate about helping individuals to achieve their goals. I love the way that NumberWorks'nWords targets learning needs in a purposeful way, engaging learners of all ages through the use of the best computer programmes, and most of all making Maths + English = FUN!

When not in the centre I can be found curled up with a good novel, playing the piano, engrossed in a piece of writing or designing helpful spreadsheets to make my life simpler. I also love travel and getting out in nature to find those weird and wonderful sights that take your breath away.
