NumberWorks maths tuition - how does it work?

• Maths tuition time is one hour per week during which teaching is on a one-to-one basis.
• Each student works on a computer, on his or her own maths topic, at his or her own speed.
• The work is divided into school maths syllabus levels.
• Every new student is assessed to find the appropriate starting level of maths.
• Each topic is practised by a series of simple but fun maths exercises on the computer.
• The computer marks every answer immediately. A wrong answer is always reworked immediately.
• The tutor helps whenever problems arise.
• The maths programs can be followed by reward games which allow a short break from the concentrated work. It really is fun learning!
• NumberWorks maintains a complete work record for each student to ensure full coverage of the appropriate maths syllabus.
• Previously taught material is constantly revised to ensure retention and understanding.
• Every topic group, such as Times Tables or Quadratic Equations has a Topic Test. A certificate is awarded for each topic test passed.
• Most levels have a Levels Test. A pass gains promotion to the next level.
